These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of BuildMate Hub, including our website (buildmateco.com) and mobile applications (collectively, the "Service"), operated by BuildMate LLC ("BuildMate," "we," "us," or "our"). By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to these Terms.
You must be at least 18 years old and able to form a legally binding contract to use the Service.
You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your login credentials.
Contractors represent and warrant that they hold any required licenses/permits/certifications, that their business information is accurate, and that estimates/invoices/timelines are provided in good faith. BuildMate is a project management and communication tool, not a party to contracts between contractors and clients, and does not supervise, inspect, or guarantee construction work.
Subscription fees may apply for contractor access to certain features. Payments between contractors and homeowners are processed through Stripe. BuildMate does not guarantee homeowner payment and is not responsible for payment disputes. Subscription fees are generally non-refundable except as required by law.
Users agree not to use the Service unlawfully, impersonate others, upload false credentials, harass other users, access others' accounts without authorization, disrupt the Service, or use unauthorized automated access.
Users retain ownership of uploaded content and grant BuildMate a limited license to store/display/transmit it as necessary to operate the Service.
BuildMate is not a party to any agreement between a contractor and homeowner, does not verify construction work quality/outcomes, and does not mediate disputes over workmanship or contract terms.
The Service relies on Supabase, Stripe, and Lovable infrastructure, subject to those providers' own terms.
Users may delete their account at any time. BuildMate may suspend/terminate accounts for Terms violations or fraudulent activity.
THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE," WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND. BUILDMATE DOES NOT GUARANTEE THE ACCURACY OF ANY ESTIMATE, TIMELINE, OR PROJECT INFORMATION ENTERED BY USERS.
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, BUILDMATE SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES. BUILDMATE'S TOTAL LIABILITY SHALL NOT EXCEED THE AMOUNT PAID TO BUILDMATE IN THE 12 MONTHS PRECEDING THE CLAIM.
Users agree to indemnify and hold harmless BuildMate from claims arising from their use of the Service or violation of these Terms.
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Mississippi.
BuildMate may modify these Terms from time to time, posting updates with a new "Last Updated" date.
